Detailed product information can be found in the technical data sheets in the relevant product pages.
HOW TO CLEAN PATHS AND PATIOS
Always make sure you read the instructions first.
Always test a small area before use, preferably hidden to check for compatibility and colourfastness.
If there is a thick layer of moss of fungi use a hard broom to brush of as much as possible before applying.
Path,Patio and Driveway Cleaner is supplied ready to use. However, on very light soiling only, dilute 1 part product: 5 parts water.
Apply neat product to a dry or damp surface with a brush for the thick grade, and a garden sprayer for the thin grade.
Make sure all the grout joints and moss affected areas are saturated
Leave for 20-30 minutes. if the weather is cold, leave on a little longer to make sure the product has absorbed
To brighten paths and walls leave longer before removing (up to 8 hours).
Rinse with a high pressure water jet.
Allow to dry.
To prevent soiling it is recommended to use a suitable protective treatment from the Uber Shield Range.
HOW TO USE NATURAL STONE SEALER
Always test a small hidden portion of the substrate before use, to ensure the final result is satisfactory and to calculate consumption. Surface should be clean, dry and free from dirt, soiling, mould and algae before applying.
Ideal application temperature should be between 10ºc and 30ºc. Do not apply during rain, frost or when surface and air temperature is below 5ºc
Apply generous even coat with a brush, long pile roller or low pressure spray.
Avoid pooling, by mopping up excess product.
One generous coat is sufficient for surfaces with a low porosity. For more porous surfaces apply a second coat whilst the surface remains damp from the first coat – MUST be wet on wet.
Apply an even, wet coat to the point of saturation, once the first coat starts to soak in, apply a further wet on wet coat, 1 to 3 applications recommended. This method gives deeper penetration into the substrate.
Water repellence is evident after initial curing but may take up to 7 days to reach 100% efficiency.
HOW TO USE A COLOUR ENHANCER
Ensure surface is clean, free from any contaminants including dust, dirt, oil, grease, algae and efflorescence. On new substrates efflorescence may not be visible for a few months.
Ensure all detergents have been removed.
Always test a small inconspicuous area before use to ensure surface compatibility, performance and finish/texture is acceptable, expose the test area to weather and foot traffic for 2 weeks(normal use) before proceeding to seal the whole area.
Shake container before use.
Ensure surface is thoroughly dry and dust free before application.
Do not pour directly on to paving. Apply using a brush or paint pad ensuring an even coat. Avoid runs, drips or puddling by removing excess product from the surface as you continue application.
For more porous surfaces, apply 2 coats, the second within 20 minutes of the first coat. DO NOT allow the first coat to dry before applying a second coat.
Remove excess product from the surface to avoid dirt pickup at a later date.
Allow product to cure overnight before subjecting to heavy use – increase this time in cold, damp conditions. Optimum performance is reached after 2-3 days.
HOW TO USE JOINTING COMPOUND
Our Jointing Compound is quick and very easy to use:
STEP ONE: PREPARATION
All joints to be pointed should be dry, free from weeds, dirt or debris. Joints to be pointed using must have a MINIMUM width of 5mm throughout the full depth of the joint. The depth of the joint should not be less than 25mm. should not be applied in rain or wet conditions. If rain threatens after application, should be protected until cure has taken place. It should not be applied at sub-zero temperatures
Uber-Fil Jointing Compound is supplied ready to use, however some compaction of the product may occur in storage and a light raking of the product may be required. Placement Open the pack and empty out product to treat approximately 10 square metres of paving .Using a soft broom, work the into the joints making sure that each joint is completely filled and compacted. A pointing tool may be used to compact further and achieve a traditional finish.
You may want to consider using our Block Paving Sealer or Natural Stone Sealer to protect your investment from staining.
